The Great Smoky Mountains
The Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia offer some of the most spectacular mountainous roads and views in the country. The tour season runs from April, when the mountains are starting to blossom, until late October with its beautiful fall foliage. Temperatures can range widely even in the summer months with elevations of over 6000 feet, so it is a good idea to bring along some cold weather riding gear.
